The meeting was called to order by   Todd  on April 4, 2006 @ 7:00pm

 

The meeting had 10 board members present with 7  non board members present.

 

Previous months meeting minutes read and approved.

 

Financial report was read and approved.

 

Team Business:

Senior Legion: Umpire fees are 53.00 so $106.00 a game.

                                     July 4th tournament 3 teams have committed to play.

                                     43 game schedule and Memorial Day tournament

            Senior Babe Ruth: We will be playing in the A division.

            Junior Legion: Rob is requesting new jerseys- Howard made a motion to purchase new

                                    vests for the team and was 2nd by Jason all approved.

           City County: Umpire fees are 39.00.

                                 13 teams and there will be 1 division

                                 19 game schedule

           Babe Ruth: The number of teams keep changing right now there is 14, the next meeting

                               is Monday.  Needs equipment, which is in the shed, and hats and t-shirts.

           13 Year Old Prep Team: Needs all equipment, catchers mitt and practice balls.  Todd has a catchers mitt as well as Carl so that should handle that.

                                                   Next meeting is Wednesday.

                                                   Umpire fee is 55.00 a game with a 2 hour time limit.

 

Fundraising:

           Wawa coupons are going to be on a volunteer basis from the coaches for their individual

                   teams.   Next year we will look into putting it with the registraton.

           Harleysville Banner is ordered.

Old Business:

           Clearances: keep Todd updated on assistant coaches

           Meeting room: need to get working on it- Rob has a steal door and frame that we can have

                someone just needs to pick it up.

                Howard needs to see Dave at the Home Depot for donation of goods.

                Bud cannot start working on the room because he has hit his busy time for work.

                We might have to schedule a work day once things come through from Howard.

 

          Coaches for the Prep team are Bob Cocci, John McMenamin and Gary Wamsher as the

                     Head Coach.

 

          Web site is up and running make sure coaches get schedules and all updates to John.

 

  


 

New Business:

 

             Legion Post wants to give us money but we cannot get in touch with them, we leave

                    messages but get no call backs.

 

            Uniform information: Coaches make sure you get hat a t-shirt requests in ASAP

 

            Bob Gofus is stepping down from the board.  Next meeting we will vote for new board

                        member.

                Jason made a nomination for John McCloskey and was 2nd by Tom Hains.  John will \

                 think about it and let us know.

 

            Equipment Purchases must have 2 people from the signature list know before purchase is

                 made.

 

             Patty Bleakley has contacted us to let us know that the 3 townships are getting together

                  to discuss the need for baseball fields.

 

            School Board meeting is next week in the Admin Building at 7:00.  We issued a letter to

                  be able to get port-o-pots.  We are still waiting to hear back. 

              The port-o-pot at Hillside will be shared with little league.

 

             We need schedules from everyone ASAP for the school and administration.

 

             Picking of teams from tryouts the younger guys are getting together after meeting.

 

Senior Babe will have too many players a long discussion but out come was to hold tryout.

        Howard made the motion 2nd by Jason we had 2 abstentions all others approved.

 

Field Prep will be held     Saturday the 15th of May

             We agreed to rent a roller and york rake with a kuboda tractor-Howard will set up

              Dirt was ordered from the township

 

Bud made a motion for Senior Legion to get 2nd jersey and 2nd t-shirt because of the number of games that they play. Motion was 2nd by Kim all approved.
