The meeting was called to order by Todd on May 2, 2006 @ 7:05pm                        

 

The meeting had 9  board members present with 6  non board members present.

 

Previous months meeting minutes read and approved.

 

Financial report was read and approved.

 

Team Business:

Senior Legion- meeting Sunday at 2

                      Harleysville National Bank Tournament for July 4^th Pottsville, JP Mascaro, Shillington and Whitpain will probably be in it.  Cost per team is $350.00 will cover umpire fees

Jason will hold a parents meeting for the things that need to be done.

 

Junior Legion- $300.00 for Memorial Day tournament

                        Uniforms are ordered

                        Roster meeting is 15^th assistants are Rick Schrack and Mr Regan

 

City County -13 or 14 teams meeting is tomorrow night

                      Season starts May 22

                      Fredericksburg Memorial Day tournament

 

Sr. Babe Ruth-Schedule turned in so Todd can give to School Board will be using Pottsgrove

                        Middle School field

 

Babe Ruth- 14 teams 1^st practice Saturday

                   Mark Rudiman and Kevin Reeder assistant coaches

 

13 Year Old Prep- July 9^th will be all star game 2 players from the team 1 coach each team.

                              Roster meeting the 15^th

 

 

 

Fundraising: Wawa coupons-each team can do if they like Kim will draw up letters if anyone is interested if the coach isn’t participating.

 

                      Save-a-Tape program with Redners Kris Klaptosky came and went over everything

Kim will draw up a letter to give to the parents.

 

Signs at High School Fence; we would give the school district 50% of the sign sponsorship we will draw up letter and propose it, unsure how it will go over.

 

 

Old Business: Clearances; there are still people who need them

 

Meeting Room: still in the works for donation from Home Depot- Howard will pick up the door from Rob.

Reminder about balls do not wait until you run out

 

Bud made a motion for John McCloskey to be the new board member to replace Bob Gofus the motion was 2^nd by Carl Beland all approved

 

New Business: 

 

school board meeting is Tuesday

 

We need to set a time for pictures for the program book

 

we need game and practice schedules from everyone for the school

 

we need to write up new by laws for the drafting order and double rostering of players

 

Jr Legion rules for 13 year prep allows them to double roster with anyone

 

Unbreakable bats that cost $120.00 unsure if City County can use but Carl will check into it

if the can use Jason made a motion to purchase one and 2^nd by Tom all approved.

 

We are looking into putting up a fence along the 3^rd base line 200' of fence at 6' high

and dugouts along with a block building for snack bar/shed with possible press box on top-Kim made a motion to move forward on this project Tom 2^nd all approved.

 

3 port-a-potties were placed at High School and Middle School

 

1^st Monday of the month are Lower Pottsgrove Twp Meetings- we should have representation there for Sanatoga Park Field

 

Meeting with the 3 townships about fields for area sports in the local municipalities.  Bud will try to attend but would like other volunteers.

 

Field maintenance for May 13^th @ 9 am front end loader Hinkle will be getting and renting the roller again.
