Meeting called to order by Todd @7:12
There were 6 board members and 2 non-board
members present.
League Reports
Senior Legion
- Ended the season 11 and 7
Senior Babe
- Good season, went to play-offs
Junior Legion
- meeting on Monday about the All Star Game
on July 23rd
City County
- fourth place
- play-offs start on Tuesday
Babe Ruth
- won one game
- players improved throughout the season in
their hitting and fielding
13 Year Old Prep
- in play-offs one loss so far
- record for season 11 and 12
Fundraising
- MUST continue to pass hat for ALL home
games
- Basket Raffle for next year
- start promoting it earlier
- flyers to all teams
- ad in the Mercury
- ad on PCTV
- Sr Legion Tournament went smoothly
- we made approximately $365.00 on the
Boston Market fundraiser we need to promote it earlier next
time
Old Business
- gate at the Jr. Legion field Todd called
and they will put industrial strength hinges on the gate
- trash at the field MUST be emptied after
each game and the parking area checked for trash also or we may
lost the privilege of parking on the grass
New Business
- we need to find an accountant or lawyer to
check into how we can become non-profit
- registrations will need to be raised for
the 2008 season ($50.00?) we can return some of the monies for
players that are over 16 and play down
- we need to discuss eliminating a team for
next year
- Howard will check with UP Twsp to see if
we can sell hot dogs
- see about the older players volunteering
to umpire Little League games to help rebuild a relationship
with them
- Fall Ball ages 12 (next years 13s) to
16 (next years 16s) John will send out an e-mail to see what
kind of interest there will be
- Todd will call Skip to see who is in
charge of the league
- we need to determine cost for players
- SVSG practice and game balls are bad we
need to find a different model for next year
- A.J. Batista wants to run a baseball
clinic in the fall for the kids
