PBO Minutes

September 4, 2007

 

Meeting called to order by Todd @7:07

 

There were 7 board members and 3 non-board members present.

 

 Rick accepted last months minutes, seconded by Chris.

 Rick accepted the Treasurers report, seconded by Joe.

 

League Reports

  • Nothing to report from any of the leagues

 

Fundraising

  • Boston Market will be on Wednesday, September 26th from 4:00-10:00 p.m.

 

Old Business

  • Background checks – all have been received. Suggestion for next time, bring form and check to Todd and he will submit the forms for the members who need them.
  • Jr. Legion e-mail received by the league was addressed – all of the coaches chose the players to be on the All Star Team

 

New Business

  • We need to have a year-end audit meeting. Five or so members need to get together and audit the books in November. Howard volunteered Kathy to do it – anyone else?
  • Changing to non-profit – possibly up registration $25.00 to help defray the cost. It will cost a minimum or $750.00-$1000.00 if we do most of the legwork. An option could be to ask Harleysville Bank to donate another $1000.00 or so.
  • We need new L Screens (we are now using the ones from the school district), liners, lime. Lime MUST be put in containers – the Joe boxes are a mess.
  • Current Joe boxes are in bad shape – they need to be fixed or replaced. Todd is meeting with Mike and Dave and will ask about the possibility of a shed.
  • At sign ups, we should have a chart to show parents the cost of playing baseball for one season.
  • Begin reviewing the current By-Laws.
