There were 9 board members and 4 non-board members present.

John accepted last months minutes, seconded by Chris.

Jason accepted the Treasurers report, seconded by John.

 

Audit Meeting – keep the date, December 1st, but Bud will not be there, George or Jim will go instead.

 

League Reports

Senior Legion

  • Nothing to report

 

Junior Legion

  • Uchlwn–games will now be played at the Glenmore Youth Athletic Assn
  • Next meeting will be in January

 

Senior Babe

  • Nothing to report

 

City County

  • Next year will be the 40th anniversary of the league. There will be many special events throughout the season.
  • Umpire fees will be $45.00 next year

 

Babe Ruth

  • Nothing to report
  • Todd will go to their next meeting at NORCO

 

13 Year-Old Prep

  • If we have a team, Jim Miller may be interested in coaching.
  • Someone will get him a list of the kids coming up who would be eligible to play.

 

Fundraising

  • Jason and Howard will continue to head the fundraising committee.
  • Have the Reading Phillies fundraiser ready to hand out during registration. They have a lot of nice prizes for the kids.
  • Basket Auction – start getting ready soon.
  • Boston Market – Howard is waiting for the check. He will choose two dates during the season for next year – one during the first week of May and one in September. We will schedule times for each team to be represented. John will put the dates on the website once Howard sends them to him.

 

We will have registration in the evenings during basketball and through the mail. Todd will call other leagues and see what they charge – the fees need to go up this year. Todd and Jason will make a chart to have available during registration to show parents the cost of playing baseball. The chart will also be on-line for the parents registering through the mail.

 

Old Business

  • Fall Ball – undefeated through the season. John still has $30.00 of the umpire fees in case we can play a game with Ted’s team. We still need payment from one family.
  • By-Laws finalized

 

Todd will check to see who needs to update their background checks. We need to check with a company to sponsor the cost of background checks. Possibly the police department?

 

Howard and Todd talked to Harleysville Bank about a donation. They want to know how many games per team, where they are being advertised (website, banner, etc.), why sponsors are important (no legion post to sponsor). They also want a picture of the banner and they want a plaque. They may up their donation – possibly to $2500.00. Put in the letter for them – team colors were changed for Harleysville, the Mercury showed the team as sponsored by Harleysville Bank.
