Meeting called to order by Todd @7:08

 

There were 6 board members and 0 non-board members present.

 

 Rick accepted last months minutes, seconded by Bud.

 Tom accepted the Treasurers report, seconded by Rick.

 

League Reports

Senior Legion

  • Jason will coach, if voted in
  • nothing new to report

Senior Babe Ruth

  • Jim interested in coaching, if voted in
  • nothing new to report

 

Junior Legion

  • George G. is interested in coaching, if voted in

 

Junior Legion Prep

  • Joe did not respond to requests to coach this year and he did not go to the meetings
  • Jason Coyne is interested in coaching, if voted in, with Lee Trythall as an assistant – he offered to go to the next meeting for Pottsgrove

 

City County

  • Al is interested, per Carl
  • Tom Rokosny is interested also

(Al was called during the meeting, and decided he was not interested in coaching this year.)

 

Babe Ruth

  • need to find a coach

 

Old Business

Fundraising

  • Basket Raffle – hopefully a flyer will be ready for registration
  • Boston Market – still no check from them – wait to book new dates until current check is received
  • Reading Phillies information will be available – also on the website
  • Examples of shirts for parents to purchase will be available at registration to view and place orders

 

New Business

  • Vote on coaches for the 2008 season:

Senior Legion –            Jason Feather

Senior Babe Ruth –      Jim Madl

Junior Legion – George Gantert                           All Yes, none opposed

City County –               Tom Rokosny

Junior Legion Prep –     Jason Coyne

Babe Ruth -                  Need a coach

 

  • Audit of books – two invoices need to be copies – everything balanced
  • All approved the registration fees to be $175.00 for 13-15 year olds and $250.00 for 16-19 year olds for the 2008 season with a $25.00 discount if registered by the last night of formal registration (February 5th, with a rain date of February 7th).
  • Registration forms – everyone approved – can be copied
  • Charts for registration – fee chart done, Howard will make it poster size at Staples.
  • Chart showing the breakdown of player costs  - Todd will make and have ready for registration.

Umpires – fees went up:

Senior Legion - $55.00 per ump, per game (need two)

Junior Legion - $45.00 per ump, per game (need two)

Junior Legion Prep - $60.00 per ump, per game (need one)

City County - $45.00 per ump, per game (need two)

Senior Babe Ruth – $55.00 per ump, per game (need two)

Babe Ruth - $60.00 per ump, per game (need one)

Strohecker – now charges $55.00 for his services to send umpires to the games.

Also – lime, balls, equipment, uniforms.

  • Registration Dates and Location:

January 24th, 29th, 31st and February 5th (snow date February 7th) - at the Pottsgrove Middle School outside of the gym.

  • Send an e-mail to ask for help with registration
  • Sanatoga Park – field is ready – PYAA gave several thousand dollars toward the field – Todd will set up a time for the board to see the field
    • can possibly be used for tournaments, play offs, etc.
    • we will offer to donate bases and home plate
