August 5, 2008

 

Meeting called to order by Todd @7:12

 

There were 7 board members and 1 non-board members present.

 

 Chris accepted last months minutes, seconded by John.

 John accepted the Treasurers report, seconded by Bud.

 

Website fee – we will pay it for this year, and Little League can pay next year.

 

League Reports

Sr. Legion

  • made play-offs – they won one game in the series

 

Sr. Babe

  • made play-offs – went one game before the championship game
  • season went very well
  • Jim is trying to get the uniforms back

 

Jr. Legion

  • six league game wins for the season
  • George has some uniforms

 

Babe Ruth

  • record was 10 and 5 – lost in play-offs
  • season went very well
  • Aaron has most of the uniforms back

 

13 Year Old Prep

  • all but one uniform back

 

Fundraising

  • Howard will start soliciting for banners at the beginning of September

 

Old Business

  • nothing to report

 

New Business

  • both locks are missing from the pool field – Todd has extras and will get them rekeyed – for now, Rick put locks on and he and Howard both have keys
  • whenever the shed is broken into, call the Upper Pottsgrove police IMMEDIATELY
  • Fall Ball – Todd got a call from Bob Wehr about Fall Ball – it will be offered to the kids coming up to age 15 (15’s cannot pitch). George had mentioned earlier he would like to coach, Todd will get in touch with him
  • Rick cleaned out the equipment – for next season we will need: at least two liners (ask Tom H. if he can repair the remaining two during the off-season), base plugs for the Pool field, repairs to the Pool field fence
  • some banners are missing after the recent storms, Todd will contact the township to see if they have the banners
  • Howard will meet with his cousin next week about our non-profit status paperwork
  • Todd will as Bally about baseballs for next year – the cost from them was much more reasonable then other places
  • J.C. situation – he does not want to coach again. We would need more information  – these issues should go through the coaches, the board can’t do anything
