October 7, 2008

Meeting called to order by Todd @7:09

There were 6 board members and 3 non-board members present.

Chris accepted last months minutes, seconded by John.

Howard accepted the Treasurer’s report, seconded by John.

League Reports

Sr. Legion

        Nothing new to report

Sr. Babe

        Still missing 4 uniforms – a bill for $110.00 will be sent to the players.

Babe Ruth

        Nothing new to report

Jr. Legion

        Spring City – State Champs

        Daniel Boone moved to the Berks County League

        Problems with players on Jr. Legion and Babe Ruth teams – Phonexville’s Jr. Legion may go out on its own since Babe Ruth is their primary team.

13 Year Old Prep

        Bob Wehr will go to the meetings for the league.

Fundraising

        Still working in 401C

        Township has the banners that blew down in the wind storm earlier this season. They asked if we could put holes in the banners so air could go through and won’t blow down the next time.

        Looking for a new place to have banners made.

New Business

        Trying to get insurance from another company cheaper.

        Todd will put an ad in the paper for a Senior Legion coach for the 2009 season.

        Elections will be next month – so far interest in board positions:

Todd Kalptosky, Chris Klaptosky, Sue McCloskey, George Gantert, Bud Lightcap, Rich Schrack, Howard Shawell

        Audit needs to be done next month – George, Howard and Bud will do it on Wednesday, October 29^th at the Klaptosky’s home.
