PBO Minutes November 4, 2008
Meeting called to order by Todd @7:22
There were 6 board members and 2 non-board members present.
Voting: Candidates – George Gantert, Chris Klaptosky, Todd Klaptosky, Bud Lightcap, Rick Schrack and Howard Shawell. Were all elected to the board. Officers - President – Todd Klaptosky nominated by Bud, seconded by Rick Vice President – Rick Schrack nominated by George, seconded by Bud Treasurer – Chris Klaptosky nominated by Rick, seconded by Bud Secretary – position is open. Field Maintenance – George Gantert nominated by Todd, seconded by Rick Player Agent – Bud Lightcap nominated by Rick, seconded by Todd Fundraising – Howard Shawell nominated by Todd, seconded by Rick Positions accepted by Todd, seconded by Bud, none opposed.
Three more board members are needed – this will be addressed as soon as any interest is shown by possible nominees.
Chris accepted last month’s minutes, seconded by Bud. Bud accepted the Treasurer’s report, seconded by Rick.
The audit was done on Saturday, everything was fine.
League Reports Sr. Legion · November 16th is the next league meeting, someone needs to attend. Sr. Babe · Nothing to report Jr. Legion · Nothing to report Babe Ruth · Nothing to report 13 Year Old Prep · Bob Wehr has been going to the league meetings for us
Fundraising · Banner discounts for early payment – 10%.
Old Business · We still need to collect four uniforms – Chris will send out the bills
New Business · Registration will be the end of January beginning of February as last year. · Web site contact information for new board members was given to John to post on the website. · Rick brought up that it would silly to make Todd post an advertisement in the paper for a position he would like. · Rick made a motion not to post the Senior Legion position in the paper. George seconded the motion and the board approved. · Rick made a motion to nominate Todd as head coach of the Senior Legion team. George seconded the motion and the board approved. · Rick made a motion to nominate Bob Wehr for coach of the 13 Year Old Prep team. Bud seconded and the board approved. · Rick made a motion to nominate George Gantert for coach of the Junior Legion team. Bud seconded and the board approved. · We will resolve the rest of the coaches for the 2009 season next meeting. · Todd will call Frank – he and George will go and talk to him about dirt needed for the Pool Field. Upper Pottsgrove Township will pick it up and put it on the field. Parents and kids will be asked to help spread the dirt on the field. · Bud has a key to the Pool Field shed so he can try to fix the back door.
