PBO Monthly Meeting Minutes

 

 

Meeting Date:  Tuesday 4/7/09                      Time Called to Order: 7:05 pm

 

Members present: 14 total - 9 board members – Todd Klaptosky conducted meeting

 

Minutes from Last Meeting: accepted 1st by Bud Lightcap 2nd - Ron Mansmann

No dissents

 

Treasury Report: Balance $7,285.01 - Report Accepted: 1st Bud Lightcap - 2nd Ron Mansmann

 

Scott from Kidz First Fundraising gave an overview of the products we could sell. There would be no cost to the organization. We will hand out the brochures at tryouts.

 

League Reports:

 

13 yr old Prep: Bob Wehr – League Dates 5/26 – 7/4 / 16 teams – 8 East and West/ can use EH / Playoffs to be determined / Schedule given / Bob Wehr will attend next meeting and report back. – All Star Game 7/4-Sundstrom Field

 

Sr. Legion: Todd Klaptosky attend meeting. Schedule given – Insurance and fees okay

 

Jr. Legion: George Gantert – $430 league fee Paid / George will attend next meeting /

Schedule of the field will be coordinated with Bob Wehr

 

Sr. Babe Ruth: Jim Madl – we will not have enough players to field a team.


Babe Ruth:  John Livezey would like to coach team if we have enough players. He will attend the next meeting.

 

City/County:  Nothing to report – Not enough players to field a team

 

Fundraising:

 

Chris Klaptosky will check with Girls softball if they will still do a lottery ticket fundraiser.

 

Concession stand volunteer needed.

 

Registration:

 

We received a few late registrations.

 

Field Maintenance:

 

New drag and tractor needed. Joe V. will investigate.

 

George Gantert will get 40 tons of infield mix delivered. Upper Pottsgrove to have a contractor spread the mix.

 

 

Doors on the shed need to be repaired. Joe V. to contact Steve Klotz about repairs.

 

 

New Business:

 

Finalized - Tryouts will be Saturday April 18th and Sunday April 19th 10am - 12:30pm for 13-15 and 12:30 - 2:00pm for 16-18.  -
